We have worked with Drop4Drop on a project in The Gambia which benefits 250 people and this is a little bit more about it.
“This is a Fula tribe community which has a population of about 250 people. It is located not far from the Gambia and Southern Senegal border. The community is remote and severely facing clean water crisis. The community has only one water source which has been broken for ages and they currently travel miles to The Senegal border Village of Sareh Ndamo just to fetch few buckets for sustenance. The community is made up of subsistence farmers and traditional pastoralists.”

This project was undertaken as part of our campaign of projects that actively reduce carbon emissions. This project helped the community save their much needed wood which was previously being burnt daily to boil water. This project has also eliminated the many thousands of hours previously spent on walking to collect water.
