Water to the Ancuabe and Chiure Districts
We have worked with Drop4Drop on a project in Mozambique which benefits 1471 people and this is a little bit more about it.
These districts are located in the Province of Cabo Delgado in Mozambique, which borders the neighbouring country of Tanzania and the provinces of Nampula and Niassa.
The Chiure & Ancuabe District populations are estimated at 299,235 and 241,515 respectively and subsistence farming is the number one source of income for majority of the population. In these rural districts, water paucity remains a stark issue.
DROP4DROP and our in-country partner are working tirelessly to reach as many rural communities as we can and provide a sustainable source of clean water, as well as hand-wash facilities, training, soap and masks to combat the spread of COVID-19.
